Beijing Enlight Media (SHE:300251) generated a box office revenue amounting to 4.84 billion yuan after releasing the movie Nezha: The Devil Boy Conquers the Dragon King in China, according to a Shenzhen Stock Exchange filing on Wednesday.
The movie exceeded 50% of the company's audited consolidated financial statements for the most recent fiscal year.
The Chinese film production company's operating income as of Tuesday, Feb. 4, is expected to be between 950 million yuan and 1.01 billion yuan.
The company's shares soared 18% at the close.
