0853 ET - Value wars continue to play out among fast-food brands, making it harder for chains' individual deals to break through. Fast food brand owner Yum Brands says U.S. sales in its Pizza Hut division were under pressure in 4Q as competitors rolled out deals, and the chain's $7 promotions attracted existing customers but not infrequent ones. Yum says it will focus on promoting everyday good value at Pizza Hut in 2025, along with campaigns it hopes will break through. Pizza Hut's U.S. same-store sales declined 2% in 4Q.
