REA Group (ASX:REA) reported Thursday that its earnings per diluted share in the fiscal first half rose to AU$3.339, from AU$0.964 per diluted share a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Visible Alpha were expecting EPS of AU$2.29.
Group revenue for the six months to Dec. 31, 2024, was AU$872.9 million, up 20% from AU$725.5 million a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha expected AU$853.7 million.
The media firm said phasing of group operating expenses, particularly for marketing campaigns and employee costs, is expected to result in lower year-on-year growth rates in the second half of fiscal 2025 compared with the first half.
The board declared an interim dividend of AU$1.10 per share, up from the AU$0.87 in the previous reported period, payable on March 19 to shareholders on record as of March 5.
