Resources & Energy Group (ASX:REZ) completed its first gold dore pour from the trial vat leach program at the East Menzies gold project in Western Australia, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Following the gold recovery trial, the company is implementing a structured mining and processing program at the project and has applied for an additional eight vat leach dams to the Western Australian Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, the filing said.
Gold dore bars from the first pour have been delivered to the Perth Mint for refining and sale, according to the filing.
