Atlas Arteria (ASX:ALX) said that the APRR toll road group, in which it owns a 30.82% interest, is expected to face a new temporary supplemental tax in France within the year, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
The temporary supplemental tax, part of the French Parliament's recently adopted Finance Law, applies to firms with revenue above or equal to 1 billion euros in either the previous or current year.
APRR Group is anticipated to have a revenue equal to or above 3 billion euros during the period.
It will have to pay 98% of the anticipated tax amount in December, and the remainder will be due in April 2026.
The law will come into effect after a review by the constitutional council and signature by the French President, which is expected in the next few weeks.
