Ameren is increasing its quarterly dividend by 6%, to 71 cents.
The utility holding company on Friday said that its board of directors approved raising its quarterly payout to shareholders from 67 cents a share previously.
The new payout, equal to $2.84 annually, represents a yield of 2.9%, based on the company's latest closing price of $96.75.
The dividend will be paid on March 31.
