Take-Two Interactive Software (TTWO) reported a fiscal Q3 diluted loss late Thursday of $0.71 per share, widening from a loss of $0.54 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected a loss of $0.95.
Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 was $1.36 billion, down from $1.37 billion a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $1.39 billion.
The company said its fiscal Q4 earnings could range from a loss of $0.20 per share to an income of $0.13 per share on revenue of $1.52 billion to $1.62 billion.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect earnings of $0.02 on revenue of $1.54 billion.
Shares jumped more than 7% in after-hours activity.
