Prudential (SGX:K6S, HKG:2378) bought back 700,000 shares from the London Stock Exchange on Friday for an average price of 6.68 pounds sterling apiece, a Monday bourse filing said.
The insurer plans to cancel the repurchased shares.
Following the buyback, the company will have 2,639,550,574 shares in issue.
