The ABC has admitted that Antoinette Lattouf is Lebanese, Arab or Middle Eastern, attempting to limit internal fallout over its handling of the radio presenter’s unlawful termination case.
At the start of Tuesday’s Federal Court hearing, ABC barrister Ian Neil, SC, updated the ABC’s defence to accept that those races exist and that Ms Lattouf is a member of one or more of them. But he noted the public broadcaster continued to deny this was a factor in its decision to pull Ms Lattouf off the air in December 2023.
