Southern Hemisphere Mining (ASX:SUH) said its reverse circulation drilling program at the Llahuin copper-gold-moly project in Chile saw many holes ending in copper-gold mineralization, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

A total of 26 reverse circulation drill holes were completed as part of the program, totaling 2,728 meters, the filing said.

These included intercepts of 128 meters at 0.41% grade of copper-equivalent from 16 meters to end-of-hole, including 32 meters at 0.57% grade of copper-equivalent from 66 meters.

The mining firm is set to follow up on potential depth extensions via diamond drilling during the first and second quarters of the year.

It completed a magneto-telluric survey at the site for refinement of deep large copper targets and the data is being processed and integrated with its existing data.

This dataset is also being integrated with the existing induced polarization, aeromagnetic, and geochemical prospectivity mapping datasets.

Its shares rose almost 3% on market close on Monday.
