STAAR Surgical (STAA) reported late Tuesday it swung to a fiscal Q4 loss on lower net sales and unveiled planned cost-cutting measures. Mizuho Securities downgraded STAAR to neutral from outperform while adjusting its price target to $17 from $45.
Shares slumped 26%, with intraday trading volume catapulting to over 4.6 million versus a daily average of about 607,000.
