On a per-share basis, the Golden, Colorado-based company said it had profit of $1.39. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.30 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.13 per share.
The beer maker posted revenue of $3.24 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $2.74 billion, which also topped Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.71 billion.
