TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - TIME Magazine recently released a list of the top 500 companies in Asia-Pacific. In collaboration with Statista, the American weekly listed 18 Indonesian companies in this prestigious list.
The ranking is based on three main aspects: company revenue growth, employee satisfaction surveys, and rigorous environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG, or sustainability) data. Pertamina leads among Indonesian companies in 32nd place with a score of 93.00.
Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that after organizational restructuring, Pertamina keeps recording a growing company revenue and profit. “Pertamina's positive performance is driven by the innovation and hard work of all Pertamina officers across Indonesia," said Fadjar in his official statement on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
Astra International, at 118th position, also welcomed TIME Magazine’s recognition, which its representative said coincided with the company’s 68th anniversary in February 2025. "Hopefully, it can be a motivation for Insan Astra, the source of Astra’s strength that leads the company to move alongside the present and future of Indonesia,” Head of Corporate Communications of Astra, Boy Kelana Soebroto, said in his official statement on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
Seven Indonesian companies were ranked among the 200s and above, including Bank Mandiri, Astra International, Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), Adaro Energy, Bukalapak, Wijaya Karya, and Bank Central Asia (BCA).
