A Delta Air Lines flight operated by a regional jet subsidiary dramatically flipped over on landing at Pearson International Airport in Toronto, Canada.

The Delta Connection flight 4819 was operated by Delta subsidiary Endeavor Air and originated from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. The incident happened at about 2:15 p.m. Eastern time on Monday.

"Initial reports indicate there are no fatalities, and 18 customers with injuries have been transported to area hospitals," reads part of a statement from Delta. "Our primary focus is taking care of those impacted."

The aircraft involved was a Bombardier CRJ 900. Bombardier introduced the 900 model in the early 2000s, but the company sold its regional jet business to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in 2020.

The Delta incident comes weeks after an American Airlines regional flight crashed with an Army helicopter, tragically killing everyone involved.

Coming into Tuesday's trading, American Airlines stock was down about 8% since the collision. The S&P 500 was up about 1% over the same span.

The plane involved in the American Airlines crash was a Bombardier CRJ 700. There hasn't been any information putting the plane at fault in either incident, and both investigations are ongoing.

The National Transportation Safety Board held a Feb. 14 briefing about the Jan. 29 American Airlines crash. There are open questions about the altitude of the helicopter and if the helicopter crew received air traffic updates.
