Helios Energy (ASX:HE8) has appointed Edward J May as the chief financial officer, effective immediately, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
May has 20 years of accounting and financial experience in the oil and gas industry and owns his own oil and gas accounting services firm based in the US, the filing added.
Company shares were up 9% in recent trade.
