1256 ET - Natural gas futures shake off opening losses and add to last week's gains as this week's freezing weather across large parts of the U.S. lifts demand. Near-term weather conditions are supporting gains across the forward curve, as large drawdowns in natural gas storage imply a need for greater injections over the summer to replenish inventories, Andy Huenefeld of Pinebrook Energy Advisors says in a note. "While the likelihood of stronger domestic production will help inventories recover, increased LNG exports will provide a headwind to storage growth," he adds.
