1414 ET - It is bulking season, at least according to PepsiCo CEO Ramon Laguarta, who says at the Consumer Analyst Group of New York conference that consumers are demanding snacks and beverages that are high in protein. Several of the company's brands including Muscle Milk, Gatorade, Quaker and Sabra are going into protein at a fast pace, he says. "You're going to see us innovating much more into protein given that is a space where we see consumer demand increasing," Laguarta adds. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
