Walmart's Stock Dives As Disappointing Outlook Offsets An Earnings Beat -- MarketWatch

Shares of Walmart Inc. $(WMT)$ sank 7.8% in premarket trading Thursday, after the retail behemoth gave an earnings outlook for the current quarter and full year that were below expectations, citing continued pressure from its mix of products.

The company expects first-quarter adjusted earnings per share of 57 cents to 58 cents, down from 60 cents a year ago and below the FactSet consensus of 64 cents. For fiscal 2026, adjusted EPS is projected to be $2.50 to $2.60, below expectations of $2.77.

For the fiscal fourth quarter, adjusted EPS for to 66 cents from 60 cents, and topped the FactSet consensus of 65 cents.
