Magellan Financial Group (ASX:MFG) appointed Sophia Rahmani as its chief executive and Dean McGuire as its chief financial officer, effective March 3, according to separate filings with the Australian bourse on Thursday.
The firm's board had previously announced its plan to appoint Rahmani as its CEO within 12 months of her May 2024 commencement date at the specialist financial services firm, the filing said.
McGuire was most recently the interim CFO at GPT Group. Michelle Mutchnik, Magellan's interim CFO, will resume her duties as deputy CFO.
The firm's shares fell 10% in early trading on Thursday.
