Chongqing Iron & Steel (HKG:1053, SHA:601005) has applied to the Shanghai Stock Exchange for the cancellation of 66,838,500 A shares repurchased under its share buyback program, a Monday bourse filing said.
The company had repurchased the said shares for 69.8 million in the six months after its approval of the repurchase on June 5, 2024.
After the completion of the cancellation, the company's total registered capital will be reduced to 8,851,763,767 shares from 8,918,602,267 shares.
