Lotus Resources (ASX:LOT) has confirmed that there is no ban on mineral exports in Malawi, East Africa, following recent clarifications from the Ministry of Mining, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The Ministry clarified that the temporary suspension applies solely to the artisanal gemstone sector, with a 21-day review period affecting the processing of export licenses for gemstones, the filing added.
Shares of the company rose nearly 3% in recent Monday trade.
