ISTAT releases January CPI final data (0900 GMT).

DEBT

Treasury ends offer of eight-year 'BTP Piu' bonds, to announce final coupons after closure of the offer. It may raise the minimum guaranteed coupons due to a sharp increase in market volatility, market sources said on Thursday.

Treasury announced on Thursday a February 25 auction of up to 4.25 billion euros in short-term and inflation-linked BTP bonds.

Treasury announces sale of 6-month BOT bills, with relative amounts to be auctioned on Feb. 26.

COMPANIES

The bank said on Thursday its board has moved up to March 27 a shareholder vote previously scheduled for April 10 to approve issuing new shares to finance a 10-billion-euro takeover bid for Banco BPM BAMI.MI.

The luxury sports car maker said on Thursday its board intends to recommend a dividend distribution of 2.986 euros per common share, up 22% year-on-year and corresponding to a total distribution of approximately 534 million euros.

The automaker said on Thursday it was pausing work on its next-generation Jeep Compass compact SUV including retooling a plant in Canada designated to build the vehicle.

The truck and bus maker has picked Goldman Sachs to work on the spin off of its defence unit, for which the preferred option is a bourse listing, Corriere della Sera reported on Friday.

According to several Italian newspapers the group is planning to launch a bid on Germany's PrsoSiebenSat.1 PSMGn.DE after the German elections on Sunday. La Stampa writes that the company might opt for a less aggressive operation than a takeover bid, like a spin-off of ProsiebenSat1's non-core assets.

LEONARDO LDOF.MI

The company reported 2024 results on Thursday above or in line with the guidance it had set for the year as the state-controlled defence group presses on with its efforts to lead European consolidation in the sector.

The CEO of the Italian defence group said on Thursday the company has identified a new industrial partner for its aerostructures unit which has been hit by the problems of U.S. planemaker Boeing.

BANCO BPM BAMI.MI, ANIMA ANIM.MI

The bank said on Thursday it received share tender undertakings worth around 1.5% of Anima's share capital from Anima's top management for its bid on the fund manager. With the latest undertakings, the participation held by Banco BPM could reach around 44.8% of Anima's share capital.

LUXURY, PRADA 1913.F

The Italian luxury group has been given access, ahead of any other potential suitors, to the financial data of smaller rival Versace which owner Capri Holdings CPRI.N has put up for sale, a source close to the matter said on Thursday.

BANCA MONTE DEI PASCHI DI SIENA (MPS) BMPS.MI

Italy's top appeals court on Thursday confirmed acquittals for former Chairman Alessandro Profumo and CEO Fabrizio Viola, who were tried for false accounting and market rigging in relation to derivatives trading.

CAMPARI CPRI.MI

The Italian spirits group said on Thursday it needed to take some "tough decisions, such as organizational restructuring" to ensure the group's return to financial health.

POSTE ITALIANE PST.MI

Releases preliminary FY results, followed by "Capital Markets Day - 2025 Strategy Update The Connecting Platform" (1330 GMT).
