TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto officially appointed businessman Pandu Patria Sjahrir, popularly known as Pandu Sjahrir, as one of the leaders at the Investment Management Agency Danantara.
Pandu was inaugurated as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) during the launch of Danantara at the Palace on Monday, February 24, 2025.
Previously, Presidential Communication Head Hasan Nasbi outlined the organizational structure of Danantara, led by Rosan Roeslani as the CEO, assisted by Pandu Sjahrir and Dony Oskaria.
"Danantara will be led by Mr. Rosan Roeslani, assisted by Mr. Pandu Sjahrir, and also by Mr. Dony Oskaria," said Hasan Nasbi at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Monday, February 24, 2025.
Pandu Sjahrir is a coal businessman and professional investor from Indonesia who was born in Boston, the United States, on May 17, 1979.
Pandu is the child of economist Sjahrir and Nurmala Kartini Sjahrir. Throughout his career, Pandu has held high positions in several companies.

PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA)
PT Toba Bara Sejahtra Tbk is a company engaged in the coal mining and oil palm plantation sectors established by Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. In this company, Pandu serves as the Vice President Director.
The company’s operations are split into two main segments: coal mining and plantations. In the mining sector, it runs through subsidiaries PT Adimitra Baratama Nusantara, PT Trisensa Mineral Utama, and Indomining, managing three mining sites in Sanga-sanga, Loa Janan, and Muara Jawa, located in East Kalimantan’s Kutai Kartanegara Regency.
In the plantation sector, Pandu oversees PT Perkebunan Kaltim Utama, which operates oil palm plantations and mills in East Kalimantan.
Electrum
Electrum, an electric vehicle manufacturer, is a joint venture between PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk and PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk. Operating under the name PT Energi Kreasi Bersama, Electrum was established in November 2021, with Pandu serving as the President Director at the time.
However, based on the pandusjahrir.com page, he now serves as the chairperson or equivalent to the president commissioner. The first Electrum factory is located in the GIIC Cikarang area, Bekasi, West Java, on an area of three hectares.
Since its launch in 2024, Pandu aims to produce nine million electric motorcycles by 2030 and help Indonesia reach net-zero emissions by 2060.
AC Ventures
AC Ventures (ACV) is a venture capital firm that invests in startups across Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Founded by Pandu, the company focuses on supporting the growth of digital technology sectors, including fintech, gadgets, and startups.
Last year, AC Ventures announced the closing of their latest investment fund totaling US$210 million, or equivalent to Rp3.29 trillion. Pandu aims to increase the investment fund he has collected and reach US$360 million by 2030.
