Alibaba (HKG:9988) affiliate Ant Group is foraying into the humanoid robot industry, Reuters reported Wednesday.
The fintech company's subsidiary, Shanghai Ant Lingbo Technology, has started hiring for positions for the sector, the report said.
Companies in China have started to cash in on humanoid robots, which Beijing regards as one of its "new productive forces" to drive economic growth, the report said.
