1038 GMT - Around 27% of fashion and beauty shoppers in the U.K. who follow social-media influencers have bought luxury items directly through platforms like TikTok and Instagram, according to a survey by WPP conducted by YouGov. Consumers believe it is important that companies carefully select influencer partners whose values align with their brands and target audience, driving positive engagement and contributing to the success of a campaign, according to the survey. Around a quarter of fashion and beauty buyers trust recommendations from micro-influencers, who have a smaller and more targeted audiences, as they build connections within niche communities, the survey showed.
