Stellantis' (STLA) lawsuit against a group of automotive safety equipment makers, including Autoliv (ALV), was dismissed by the UK's Competition Appeal Tribunal for lack of evidence, according to a Friday statement from the Tribunal.
In its complaint, Stellantis alleged that the group was involved in cartels related to markets for seatbelts, airbags and steering wheels from 2002 or 2004 through 2011, leading to an overcharge of 10.8% to 25.9% on the products over the period.
UK's Competition Appeal Tribunal said Stellantis "failed to establish" that there was cartel activity over the period or that any cartel activity led to an overcharge.
Stellantis and Autoliv did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments.
