Worley (ASX:WOR) was named the lead integration delivery partner by Rincon Mining for the design and delivery of its Rincon lithium project in Argentina, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
Worley will be responsible for the delivery of the lithium carbonate plant, coordinating with subcontractors including technology providers, construction contractors, and industrial relations support, the filing said.
Rincon is a unit of Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO).
Worley's shares jumped 11% in early trading on Wednesday.
