TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, Minister of Investment and Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), has now been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Investment Management Agency Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara). He stated that his team would work directly under President Prabowo Subianto’s supervision.

“Danantara is an agency under the highest level of oversight. All involved will report directly to the President, and there is no higher level of accountability,” said Rosan after Danantara launch at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Monday, February 24, 2025.

According to the electronic State Officials Wealth Report (e-LHKPN) uploaded on the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) website, Rosan first disclosed his wealth when he served as Deputy Minister for State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) II, amounting to Rp860,715,364,555 on July 31, 2023.

He later submitted another wealth report when he was the head of the Ministry of Investment/BKPM, with a total of Rp864,649,182,834 as of November 28, 2024. The breakdown is as follows:

  • Transportation and machinery: Rp1,847,500,000
  • Other movable assets: Rp20,397,850,000
  • Securities: Rp15,729,013,629
  • Cash and equivalents: Rp61,736,380,565
  • Other assets: Rp253,743,499,451

In his LHKPN, Rosan reported owning three vehicles that he claims were acquired through his own means, including a 2020 Lexus LM35 A/T (valued at Rp1.58 billion), a 2001 Piaggio Vset 4-150 motorcycle (Rp9.5 million), and a 1962 VW car (Rp250 million).

Additionally, Rosan owns 26 parcels of land and/or buildings, which he claims were acquired through his own means and donations without deeds. These properties are spread across North and South Jakarta, Sumbawa and West Lombok (West Nusa Tenggara), Denpasar, Klungkung, and Badung (Bali), as well as Manggarai and West Manggarai (East Nusa Tenggara), ranging from 350 to 80,000 square meters.

Before entering government, Rosan was appointed by President Joko Widodo as Indonesia's Ambassador to the United States for the 2021-2023 period. In the business world, he served as Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) from 2015-2020.

In 1997, he co-founded a financial advisory firm, PT Republik Indonesia Funding, or Finance Indonesia, alongside his two friends, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno and Elvin Ramli.

Rosan has also held several key positions, including Chairperson of the Omnibus Law Task Force (2019), Deputy Head of the Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin National Campaign Team (2019), Chief de Mission (CDM) for Indonesia’s Tokyo 2020 Olympic delegation, and Chairperson of the Prabowo-Gibran Rakabuming Raka National Campaign Team (2023-2024).

In 2021, Forbes ranked Rosan 87th on the list of Indonesia’s wealthiest individuals, with a net worth of US$450 million.
