15:14 ET - U.S. natural gas futures pick up from the previous day's selloff with strong LNG exports and tight inventories keeping a floor under prices. The recovery was likely helped by some weather models adding heating demand in the overnight and midday outlooks, NatGasWeather.com says in a note. This week's storage report will reflect last week's Arctic weather, increasing the deficit over the five-year average, and the following two draws are likely to widen the gap a little more, "making the background state rather bullish, especially when considering surpluses were over +500 Bcf just over a year ago," the forecaster adds. The March contract settles up 4.5% at $4.174/mmBtu ahead of tomorrow's expiration. (anthony.harrup@wsj.com)
