ASMPT's (HKG:0522) attributable profit plummeted to HK$4.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2024 from HK$75.4 million in the year-ago period, according to a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
Earnings per share at the chip equipment maker decreased to HK$0.01 from HK$0.18 in the previous year.
Revenue stayed flat at HK$3.40 billion compared with a year earlier.
Looking ahead, revenue is expected to remain flat between $370 million and $430 million in the first quarter of 2025.
The company declared a final dividend of HK$0.07 per share, payable May 30 to shareholders on record as of May 16.
Shares plunged 17% during Wednesday's late morning trading.
