China Industrial Securities International Financial Group (HKG:6058) unit CISI Investment acquired $8 million of perpetual securities by Standard Chartered (HKG:2888) from the open market for a little over $8.3 million, a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse stated.
The bonds, which the securities broker acquired for investment purposes, carry an interest rate of 7.75% per annum.
