Nvidia $(NVDA)$: The chip designer traded heavily premarket, after sliding 8.5% Thursday following blockbuster earnings that weren't quite blockbuster enough for investors.
Disco (JP:6146) and Advantest (JP:6857): Japanese chip stocks slid Friday, in the wake of Nvidia's slide in New York.
MicroStrategy $(MSTR)$: With crypto prices in retreat, the software company that bet the house on bitcoin is having a rough time. Shares slipped in premarket trading, after dropping about 9% Thursday.
Coinbase $(COIN)$: Even Coinbase is under pressure, despite the Securities and Exchange Commission dismissing a lawsuit against the crypto exchange late Thursday. Shares fell 2.5% ahead of the bell.
Li Auto $(LI)$, Alibaba $(BABA)$ and Lenovo (HK:992): Shares of the auto, ecommerce and computer companies were among the worst performers in Hong Kong, as the threat of a trade war knocked the Hang Seng.
HP $(HPQ)$: The printer and computer maker posted a drop in quarterly profit and said prospective tariffs would drag on its next set of results. Shares fell more than 3% before the U.S. open.
