Standard Chartered (HKG:2888) bought back a little over 1.2 million shares in the UK on Tuesday at a weighted average price of 11.99 pounds sterling apiece.

Following the cancellation of the repurchased shares, the British lender will have 2,413,025,845 issued shares, according to a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
