Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) YouTube said its monthly active viewers of podcasts topped 1 billion.
"Our investments to improve the podcast experience on YouTube are paying off," and the streaming service "is now the most frequently used service for listening to podcasts in the US" with the platform adding more podcasters to its revenue-sharing program, according to a blog post on Wednesday.
Alphabet shares fell 0.4% in recent Wednesday trading.
