TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has named three subholding directors of Indonesian state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina as suspects in a corruption case involving crude oil and refinery products management from 2018 to 2023. In addition, the AGO has also named a vice president (VP) of Pertamina and three private business executives as suspects.

2. Indonesia's Foreign Ministry to Hold Palestine Fundraising, Targets US$200mn

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is collaborating with the National Board of Zakat (Baznas), the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), and several other non-governmental organizations for humanitarian aid fundraising for Palestine

The ministry aims to raise US$200 million, or Rp3.2 trillion, said deputy foreign minister Anis Matta.

"We’re starting today with an initial target of around US$200 million," said Anis during the signing of Indonesia's campaign support for Palestine at the ministry office in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

3. Pertamina Corruption Case: CEO Says Pertamax Quality Still Meets Standards

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Simon Aloysius Mantiri, spoke out regarding the quality of Pertamax fuel and the ongoing investigation at the Attorney General's Office. He asserted that Pertamax with a Research Octane Number (RON) of 92 meets the quality standards set by the Directorate General of Oil and Gas (Ditjen Migas) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).

Simon claims that all of Pertamina's fuel products are closely monitored by the Ministry of ESDM through the Oil and Gas Testing Center (Lemigas) to ensure optimal quality. "We ensure that Pertamina's current operations are running smoothly, continuously optimizing services, and maintaining the quality of fuel products for the public," Simon said in his official statement on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
