0427 GMT - China's healthcare industry could benefit from the recent AI development in the country, Deutsche Bank analyst Cyrus Ng says in a research note. While investor focus is mainly on internet healthcare-related companies such as Alibaba Health Information and Ping An Healthcare & Technology, DB believes sectors from drug discovery and diagnosis to hospital management, will benefit from the AI revolution. AI applications will help healthcare players improve efficiency and overcome entry barriers, the analyst says, adding that certain jobs and procedures could be replaced by AI. The tech advancement will likely also lead to more competition in areas previously dominated by market leaders, Ng adds. (sherry.qin@wsj.com)
