Medibank Private (ASX:MPL) will return AU$160 million to customers as part of its COVID-19 support package and give-back program, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
Eligible customers will receive at least AU$50 through the program, with some receiving up to AU$255 by the end of September, depending on their coverage level, the filing said.
The program will not impact Medibank's Group operating profit for the 12 months ending June 30 and is expected to be finalized within fiscal 2025, according to the filing.
Shares rose past 9% in morning trade Thursday, earlier reaching an all-time high.
