Alpha HPA (ASX:A4N) said it received a letter of intent from a chemical mechanical planarization sector end-user, for up to 4,000 tonnes per annum across a range of its high-purity alumina materials, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
It also developed a method to produce an ultra-fine, high-purity alumina dispersion for ultra-high-value CMP applications in response to building demand inquiries from end users.
The alumina producer further distributed samples of ultra-fine dispersions to end-users for testing.
It also entered into an agency agreement with AM&M group, based in South Korea to extend its marketing capacity in Northeast Asia.
Its shares rose above 7% in early trading on Monday.
