Norwegian Air Shuttle's passenger numbers rose in February compared with the same month last year.
The airline said Thursday that it carried 1.29 million passengers in February, up 0.8% on year, and up from 1.27 million passengers in January.
Norwegian's capacity in February rose 14% on year while traffic was up 12%.
Including the company's Wideroe regional airline, total passengers in February rose 2.7% on year to 1.58 million passengers, and rose from 1.57 million passengers in January.
Norwegian said that with Easter and spring around the corner, the group is in the process of ramping up for the busy summer season. The summer program begins at the end of March, and both Norwegian and Wideroe are seeing good booking momentum for the peak season, the group said.
"The Easter holiday period is in high demand," Chief Executive Geir Karlsen said.
"May is also filling up well with several public holidays, and the booking trend we see for the summer peak season is promising," he said.
Norwegian said it has taken delivery of three new Boeing aircraft so far this year.
