House Democrats seem to be on board with the orders from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D., N.Y.) to refrain from rowdy behavior that he said could take attention away from President Trump. "The newspaper tomorrow should be about what [Trump's] message is, which I think is a failing message, but it shouldn't be about us," said Rep. Tom Suozzi (D., N.Y.)

"So many of us would love nothing more to disrupt this speech, but it's really important that it not become about us," said Rep. Laura Friedman (D., Calif.). She added that Republicans are "very good at flipping the script and creating outrage about things that aren't Trump's actions. The outrage belongs with the Trump administration, the Musk administration and what they're doing." Said Rep. Sean Casten (D., Ill.), who is skipping the address: "No matter how bad the headliner, nobody goes to a play to see the hecklers."
