TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Director of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, Simon Aloysius Mantiri, visited the Attorney General's Office to meet with the Attorney General, ST Burhanuddin. This visit is related to an alleged corruption case involving a subsidiary of Pertamina.

"We appreciate the law enforcement steps taken by the Attorney General's Office regarding the alleged legal violations committed by a Pertamina's subsidiary," Simon said in a press conference at the Attorney General's Office on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

Regarding the Attorney General's Office's investigation into suspected officials from Pertamina Sub-Holding, Simon emphasized that this situation will serve as a moment for "self-introspection and to close other wrongdoing."

He emphasized that this process is essential to ensure better management of Pertamina in the future. Simon also affirmed that the fuel specifications currently distributed to the community meet the technical specifications required by the Directorate General of Oil and Gas of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Currently, the Attorney General's Office is investigating allegations of corruption in the management of crude oil and refinery products by Pertamina, its Sub-Holding, and Contractors for Cooperation Contracts (KKKS) for 2018-2023. Among the criminal acts discovered is intentional collusion between Pertamina and Contractors for Cooperation Contracts (KKKS) to avoid crude oil offers. As a result, KKKS can export its crude oil at a higher price. Meanwhile, Patra Niaga is accused of intentionally rejecting domestic crude oil supplies to facilitate more expensive imports.

Another alleged criminal act involves the markup in the shipping contract conducted by Director of PT Pertamina International Shipping, Yoki Firnandi. PT Patra Niaga was also accused of purchasing RON 92 fuel but delivering RON 88 or RON 90 instead. The imported fuel was reportedly blended at PT Orbit Terminal Merak (OBT), a private company, when the blending process should have been conducted by a state-owned enterprise (SOE).

Three CEOs of Pertamina Sub-Holding have been named as suspects, namely President Director of Patra Niaga Riva Siahaan, Director of Feedstock & Product Optimization of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI) Sani Dinar Saifuddin, and Director of PT Pertamina International Shipping Yoki Firnandi.

Other suspects from the Pertamina Sub-Holding include Maya Kusmaya, Marketing Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga; the VP of trading operation of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga; and Agus Purwono, VP Feedstock Management of PT KPI. The three suspects from the private sector are Muhammad Keery Andrianto Riza, Beneficial Owner of PT Navigator Khatulistiwa; Dimas Werhaspati, Commissioner of PT Navigator Khatulistiwa and PT Jenggala Maritim; and Gading Ramadan Joede, Commissioner of PT Jenggala Maritim and PT Orbit Terminal Merak.
