Miller hires Scor's Foucart to lead reinsurance build-out

By Aidan Gregory

March 5 - (The Insurer) - Specialty broker Miller has continued its reinsurance build-out with the appointment of Vincent Foucart.

Foucart has joined the firm from Scor and will serve as managing director of its reinsurance practice. He is based in Paris and reports to Shaun Sinniah, head of reinsurance and capital at Miller.

In his new role, Foucart's focus will be on developing Miller’s international treaty, specialty lines and strategic advisory businesses across France, Benelux, Switzerland and Monaco.

Before joining Miller, Foucart was at Scor for more than 16 years in a variety of senior roles, most recently serving as CEO of P&C solutions until January this year. Foucart has been in the reinsurance industry for more than 20 years, having started at Allianz in 2000.

At Miller, he will be responsible for the development of the firm’s push into reinsurance broking, which accelerated following its acquisition of specialist reinsurance broker AHJ, which was announced in February.

Miller has also expanded its capabilities in capital and advisory with the acquisitions of 4809 Brokers and Bruzon in Spain last year, as the broker seeks to maintain its growth momentum following its first full year of ownership by GIC, the Singaporean sovereign wealth fund, which bought out Cinven’s stake in March last year.

In 2024, Miller achieved record revenue of 275 million pounds, up 13% from the previous year, which was driven almost entirely by organic growth.
