Dongfeng Motor Group (HKG:0489) sold 109,122 vehicles in January, up from 104,145, while the production volume was 94,287, down from 108,801 in the previous year, according to a filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
The automaker sold 225,912 vehicles in the first two months, down 32% from 331,020 units in the year-ago period. Production volume in the reporting month stood at 206,864 units, down 38% from 332,455 units a year earlier.
The company produced 20,692 new energy vehicles in January, compared with 13,850 units last year, and sold 23,813 units, compared with 13,990 units a year ago.
Meanwhile, Dongfeng Automobile's (SHA:600006) February sales were 8,075, up from 7,209 units in the year-ago period.
The automotive company share prices were down by 5% in recent trading.
