Chemours (CC) said Friday it has started a full-scale trial of its Opteon 2P50 dielectric fluid in collaboration with NTT DATA and Hibiya Engineering.
The trial focuses on two-phase immersion cooling technology for data centers, addressing the rising energy demands driven by high-performance computing and artificial intelligence technologies, the company said.
Chemours said the trial is a key step in the product's commercialization process, which includes lab trials, field testing, equipment specification, customer selection, and eventual commercial contracts and sales.
The initiative involves collaboration across the data center industry value chain, including equipment manufacturers, data center operators, and IT providers.
Financial terms of the collaboration were not disclosed.
