The European Commission cleared a joint venture between Daikin Industries (TYO:6367) and US-based Copeland LP under the EU Merger Regulation, according to a Friday statement by the regulator.
The venture will focus on residential air-conditioning, heating, and water heating.
The commission said the deal poses no competition concerns due to its limited impact on the European Economic Area.
