Perpetual Resources (ASX:PEC) is set to start an expanded exploration program at its Itinga project in Brazil, focusing on delineating high-grade tin mineralization, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
Reconnaissance sampling in February returned tin grades of over 20%, confirming significant mineralization potential, the filing said.
Plans at Itinga will include an additional review of known artisanal workings, soil and rock sampling, geological mapping, and trenching over key areas of known mineralized pegmatites to identify targets for a drilling program.
The firm's shares rose over 7% on market close on Monday.
