Novo Resources (ASX:NVO) said that a maiden air core drill program to test priority targets at the Balla Balla gold project in Western Australia is expected to start in late March, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The program will test below shallow cover and its commencement will depend on the weather. Several prospects have been identified for drill testing including Ramquarry, Cockerell, Babbage, and Beaufort.
Mapping and sampling campaigns were completed at the Tibooburra and John Bull gold projects in New South Wales, improving the geological interpretation and understanding of controls on mineralization. Assay results are being received for both projects, the filing said.
Reverse circulation drilling at both New South Wales projects is expected to start in the second quarter.
Its shares fell 1% in early trading on Thursday.
