GE Healthcare Technologies (GEHC) said Thursday it launched a 3D ultrasound with advanced artificial intelligence features called Invenia Automated Breast Ultrasound Premium, that helps detect breast cancer earlier and better in women with dense breasts.
The technology uses AI to optimize the screening capabilities of clinicians and improve early detection of breast cancer in women with dense breast tissue, the company said.
The technology, which has received premarket approval from the US Food and Drug Administration, will be launched in "key countries" throughout the year, the company said.
