Virgin Australia has launched its latest sale with fares starting from a low price of $45 across its domestic and international network.
The eight-day promotion is now on sale until midnight AEST Wednesday, March 26 on selected flights between April 30 to February 11, 2026 (unless sold out prior).
Customers choosing to fly from Sydney to Byron Bay can grab themselves a $45 flight on Economy Lite, or for those on the west coast you can fly Perth to Sydney from $199.
Velocity members can have the freedom to use Velocity Frequent Flyer Points and Status Credits on sale fares.
For those keen to escape the office or worksite for a much-needed overseas holiday, you can depart Melbourne to Denpasar (Bali) from $489 or for those in the Sunshine State, you can take on the cold snowy conditions, with a flight from Brisbane to Queenstown starting from $539.
Virgin Australia executive Libby Minogue said the time of year is coming up for Australians to take a “perfect opportunity” to have a break and getaway to reset the body.
“We’re seeing a growing trend of Aussies taking holidays to rejuvenate and reset, as disconnecting from daily life becomes more challenging,” she said.
“This is reflected in the behaviours of our Velocity members, we have seen a 17 per cent increase in members using their Points to redeem flights in comparison to last year.”
AirlineRatings.com 2025 Airline Excellence Awards revealed Virgin Australia as the World’s Best Cabin Crew for the seventh consecutive time, while also coming in third place for best Global Hybrid Airline.
Virgin Australia Regional took out World’s Best Regional Airline for the year.
Data from Statista revealed about 9.6 million Australian residents travelled overseas in the year ended June 2024, up from around 7.2 million in the previous year.
In the financial year of 2024, Indonesia remained the most popular travel destination for Aussies with 1.3 million flocking to the holiday destination.
New Zealand and the United States followed as the next most popular destinations for outbound tourists from Australia.
