8:48 ET -- Nike fans are cold on classic footwear but curious about new segments such as running and women's apparel. Penetration of the retailer's classic Air Force 1, Air Jordan 1 and Dunk shoe lines are expected to be down 10% in 4Q, Truist analysts led by Joseph Civello say. Meanwhile, new running and training product launches drove sales in 3Q, and Nike plans to scale some of those items. For example, running shoes Nike Shox are particularly popular in Europe and revenues grew more than 10 times over the past three quarters, analysts say. Nike's 24/7 apparel line for women exceeded expectations in its first month and the retailer is optimistic about its partnership with Kim Kardashian's Skims brand. katherine.hamilton@wsj.com)
